Every passion has its moment of ignition. For André Villas-Boas, it all began with trips to Estoril and Exponor, a chest of memories carried by the hand of his Father, Filipe, and his Uncle, Pedro Villas-Boas.
Built over the years with purely personal curation, André Villas-Boas’ collection reflects his diverse automotive tastes, ranging from classic sports cars like the Lamborghini Miura S, Porsche 911 RS, and Ferrari F40, to the world of two wheels, with exotic examples such as the Confederate Fighter and Auto Fabrica Type 16. And of course, competition, for which André Villas-Boas has had an attraction since childhood, now fulfilling the dream of being able to collect not only models of the great protagonists of the past, such as Cyril Despres and Marc Coma’s KTM bikes and his own Toyota Hilux, but also those still active, like Stéphane Peterhansel’s Peugeot 3008 DKR Maxi and Miguel Oliveira’s KTM RC16.
The collection goes even further, demonstrating a genuine passion that surprises with the variety of examples, from the exotic BAC Mono, the vibrant Citroën C3 WRC, and the powerful Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, to the classic MG Le Mans EX 182 and the popular FIAT 500 L.
In addition to this extraordinary lineup of cars and bikes, the exhibition also features a set of personal artefacts preserved since childhood, connecting Villas-Boas’ passion to all his experiences, from miniatures to race tickets, and helmets of legends he encountered.
Over time, André Villas-Boas has created an extraordinary collection of cars and bikes, but more than that, a collection of ever-bubbling memories that he now generously showcases – for the first time – live in Caramulo, a place inseparable from his motoring passion.
