A descendant of conceptual and minimal art, João Louro’s body of work encompasses painting, sculpture, photography and video. The main themes of his oeuvre are the reorganisation of the visual universe and the reflection on the role of language in its various aspects and potential.

His work is represented in major public and private collections such as the Fundación Arco, Madrid, The Margulies Collection, Miami and the Museu de Serralves, Oporto.
