Rider 2025 – Classic Car and Motorcycle Tour returns from 13 to 15 June, reaffirming its place as one of the most distinctive events dedicated to classic cars and motorcycles in Portugal. Organised by the Museu do Caramulo, this gathering stands out not only for the charm of the participating vehicles but also for the relaxed, genuine and vibrant atmosphere that embraces all those taking part in the tour. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, quality roads, cultural heritage and regional gastronomy makes Rider a truly memorable experience, where each edition is more than just a tour — it is a celebration of the pure joy of driving.
The Rider 2025 programme begins on Friday, 13 June, with the reception of participants in the cloister of the Museu do Caramulo, a meeting point where history and the mountain landscape converge. In the late afternoon, dinner will be served at Casa do Lagar do Miradoyro, in the picturesque village of Jueus, where regional cuisine will be celebrated in a setting of tradition and authenticity.
On Saturday, 14 June, the day begins with a new reception and information handout in the museum car park, followed by the customary group photo. The first route will lead participants to the village of Caselho, a rural gem that retains its original character, passing the charming Souto Bom Watermills along the way. After a morning coffee break, the tour continues to the impressive Serra da Freita, culminating in a stop in the town of Arouca for lunch. In the afternoon, the itinerary takes in Bigorne and Moimenta da Beira, with a pause to admire the Vilar Dam Reservoir and shortly after, the towering Contige Eucalyptus, a nominee for Tree of the Year. The day ends with a second coffee break at the Solar de Vilar, before returning to Caramulo, where the grand finale will be an exclusive visit to the Museu do Caramulo’s Secret Collection — a brand-new highlight that is already generating considerable anticipation among registered participants.
Sunday morning, 15 June, will be dedicated to exploring the villages of the Serra do Caramulo, following routes of rare tranquillity and natural beauty. After a mid-morning pause, participants will have the opportunity to visit the Museu do Caramulo and its temporary exhibitions. The event concludes with a lunch in the museum cloister, rounding off another edition of Rider in convivial style.
Over the course of three days, Rider offers an immersive journey along scenic backroads, with carefully planned stops designed to foster camaraderie, discovery and the sheer pleasure of driving. The simultaneous presence of classic cars and motorcycles is one of the features that gives the event its unique identity, encouraging the meeting of different generations and styles united by a shared passion for the classic.
Each year, Rider gains further recognition among enthusiasts, both for the quality of its organisation and for the truly unique atmosphere that surrounds it. It is an event designed to be savoured slowly, where time seems to slow down and motoring heritage is celebrated with genuine authenticity.
