The Museu do Caramulo has just released its events calendar for 2025. Find out more about each of them and their dates below.

Events calendar 2025
Salão Motorclássico
21 – 23 February, Cordoaria Nacional, Lisbon

The largest show dedicated to the world of classic vehicles in Portugal brings together more than a hundred exhibitors, from commercial organisations selling cars, motorbikes, books, parts and collectables, to institutional organisations such as clubs, associations and museums. The Motorclássico Fair programme also includes the Motor Talks, during which interviews will be held with historical figures and experts in the field, as well as the usual classic car rides and gatherings. As usual, the event will feature various celebrations, including the 70th anniversary of the launch of two cars that would become true icons in the history of the motoring world: the popular FIAT 600 and the divine Citroën DS, as well as the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. These will be joined by a number of other celebrations, to be announced over the coming weeks.

O Museu na Rua
3rd May e 8th November, Caramulo

The initiative, which gives the public the rare opportunity to see, hear, smell and even ride in the passenger seat of the machines full of history that are part of the Museu do Caramulo’s collection, is repeated on two occasions throughout the year. To take advantage of this unique and memorable experience, visitors simply need to purchase a voucher, available in the museum’s online shop or bought on the day, the symbolic value of which goes entirely towards the maintenance and conservation of the Museu do Caramulo’s collection.

Rider – Classic Car and Motorbike Tour
14 e 15 June, Centro de Portugal

The Rider – Classic Car and Motorbike Ride will once again take place in the centre of the country, focusing on back roads, natural mountain landscapes, riversides and typical villages. In addition to the strong representation of Portuguese, every year the Rider is attended by participants from a wide range of backgrounds, from Spain and England to Germany and Holland, among others.

Caramulo Motorfestival
5 a 7 de Setembro, Caramulo

September is already a landmark month in the Museu do Caramulo’s annual programme, and in 2025 it will be no exception: the biggest motor festival in Portugal is scheduled for the 5th, 6th and 7th, embodying the event that combines, like no other, the competitive component with a series of leisure and tourist activities that attract thousands of people to the Serra do Caramulo every year for three days to celebrate the world of motoring in motion. The year will also mark the twentieth edition of the Caramulo Motorfestival, with a series of extraordinary surprises to celebrate this significant date.

Founders’ Run by Cartrack
26 to 28 September, Figueira da Foz – Lisbon

Also in September, the tour for pre-war cars and motorbikes (produced up to 1939) will take to the road, in a true celebration of the golden age of motoring. The route starts in Figueira da Foz and heads towards Lisbon, taking in unmissable roads and landscapes by the coast. The Founders’ Race by Cartrack will be attended by Portuguese, Spanish, English and Swiss participants.
