Following the enormous success of its first season, the Museu do Caramulo, in partnership with Jornal dos Clássicos, is bringing back the ‘Classics with History’ series, dedicated to a series of exceptional cars.

Over the course of eight episodes, Adelino Dinis – a journalist specialising in motoring history – takes the wheel of a range of remarkable vehicles, from the Ford GT, which pays tribute to the model that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on several occasions, to the Volkswagen Typ 166 Schwimmwagen, the rare amphibious vehicle from the Second World War designed by Ferdinand Porsche. The line-up also includes the Van Diemen RF81, the single-seater in which Ayrton Senna made his racing debut in England in 1981. Throughout, Dinis shares vivid, first-hand impressions from behind the wheel.

Joining this cast are the 1975 Volkswagen Kombi ambulance, the 1991 Jaguar XJ220, the 1992 Lancia Delta Integrale HF, the 1924 Bentley 4 Seater Sports Taylor, and the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II — a star-studded selection from the museum’s collection, with all the driving scenes filmed in the stunning Serra do Caramulo.

Produced with the support of Standvirtual, the second season of “Clássicos com História” premieres on 5 June, with a new episode released every Thursday on the Jornal dos Clássicos YouTube channel, and broadcast on television two weeks later.

The series trailer is already available to watch on YouTube and can be viewed here.
