Rider 2025 – Classic Car and Motorcycle Tour sets off this Friday, 13th June, with the largest convoy ever since the event’s inception. Promoted by the Museu do Caramulo, the Rider returns to the road from 13th to 15th June and reaffirms itself as one of the most vibrant and unique gatherings dedicated to classic vehicles in Portugal. The relaxed atmosphere, the beauty of the landscapes, and the enthusiasm of those taking part make this initiative much more than a simple tour — it is a true celebration of the joy of driving classics, side by side.

The 2025 edition will begin on Friday, 13th June, with the reception of participants in the cloister of the Museu do Caramulo, where the mountains provide a striking backdrop to a meeting of history, machines, and enthusiasts. The socialising continues with a dinner at Casa do Lagar do Miradoyro, in the village of Jueus, where regional cuisine takes centre stage in an atmosphere of authenticity and tradition.

The highlight of the weekend takes place on Saturday, when the convoy — this year larger than ever — sets off on a carefully planned route. The morning begins with a reception at the Museum and a group photograph, followed by the first leg of the journey to the village of Caselho, passing through the Souto Bom Windmills. After a coffee break, the route climbs to the Serra da Freita and continues to Arouca, where lunch is scheduled. In the afternoon, the itinerary crosses Bigorne and Moimenta da Beira, with stops at the Vilar Dam Reservoir and by the imposing Eucalyptus of Contige, nominated for Tree of the Year. A second coffee break at the Solar de Vilar precedes the return to Caramulo, where participants will enjoy exclusive access to the Museum’s Secret Collection — a new feature that has sparked great curiosity among registrants.

On Sunday, 15th June, the morning will be devoted to exploring the villages of the Serra do Caramulo, following routes of exceptional beauty and tranquillity. After a short morning break, participants will be able to visit the Museu do Caramulo and its temporary exhibitions. The event will conclude with a lunch in the museum cloister, in a convivial setting that reinforces the spirit of the gathering.

Over the course of three days, the Rider offers an itinerary along some of the region’s best secondary roads, promoting encounters between two- and four-wheeled classics and moments of true harmony between machines, landscape, and heritage. The simultaneous presence of classic cars and motorcycles remains one of the event’s distinguishing features, encouraging diversity and the blending of generations and styles.

Year after year, the Rider has grown in size and prestige, winning over enthusiasts with the quality of its organisation and the unique atmosphere it provides. In 2025, the largest convoy to date promises to make this edition one of the most memorable yet.
